World Kindness Day is November 13th

DYK: World Kindness Day was formed in 1998 by the World Kindness Movement (WKM) to promote kindness as a way to bring people of every kind together to promote kindness. It’s celebrated internationally November 13th each year. Its objective is to spread kindness with small gestures, and to encourage kindness to lead us and to prevail.

According according to WKM its purpose is “to highlight good deeds in the community focusing on the positive power and common thread of kindness which binds us.” In 2019 the WKM attained official status as an NGO (Non Governmental Organization, normally a non-profit or voluntary group with a social cause) under Swiss law, with hopes to attain recognition by the United Nations in the future.
