What To Bring For Thanksgiving/Friendsgiving Dinner That’s Not A Potluck?
November 26, 2024This Sweet December: Set Your Holiday Intentions!
❄️ Does it seem to you that the ensuing holidays are here even faster than normal? That all of a sudden it’s that mad dash to get things done: everywhere is crowded, lines are long, ordering takes forever, items are out of stock, you’re 47th on call wait list, weather or traffic impacts plans…
👉 What to do? Set your intentions: with patience, empathy and kindness. And have options!
- Perhaps shop in off peak hours;
- Remember customer service people are dealing with the masses – ask them how their day is going, tell them how much you appreciate their service, wish them Happy Holidays;
- Smile – outwardly and inwardly;
- Realize things will never be perfect – and that’s okay;
- Take a beat, take a breather, come back to it later;
- If encountering flight or traffic delays – have a book, game or music to offset the stress; or tell funny stories or favorite memories about the holidays to each other;
- Try to find the humor in the situation as you can.
“A good intention requires the support of a good action in order to translate into a positive outcome. “- Trishna Damodar
And, however you celebrate the holidays, I hope it’s a beautiful and joyous season! ❤️
